Welcome back to your Scottish Rite!

I hope that you had a wonderful summer and can again find the time to
re-commit your energy to our Valley so that you will become an active member
to continue the benefits and basic cause of Scottish Rite—

the cause of human progress and understanding.

With our Reunion Class just completed, I would hope that when you attend the
September Stated Meeting that you will assist in making our new members
welcomed
and appropriately greeted. The Reunion Class was an outstanding
success
and I want to thank all of you who became first-line signers. Your
efforts are greatly
appreciated in seeing that these Masons receive additional
light in Masonry.

I want to thank all of the Actors for their extra efforts in bringing superior
performances
during our Degrees and also thank our great Stage Crew, Make-
up Crew’ Wardrobe
Crew, and Sound Crew for their extra work in making sure
the productions were of
the highest quality possible.

Now my Brothers, it is up to you to assist in seeing that our new members
understand what Scottish Rite Masonry is all about.

The Strategic Planning Committee and By-Laws Committees have been
diligently
working over the summer and will be bringing their recommendations
to
us very soon. It is hoped that once these documents are produced that you
will find
them beneficial in re-directing our Scottish Rite.

Prior to our Stated Meeting Dinners and during our Stated Meetings, several of
the ladies have been providing programs for the ladies present. This will
continue
throughout the year and I want to thank Sharon Watanabe, Joan
Jackson for assisting
and setting up the programs.

The Scottish Rite office is again open 5 days per week from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This has been accomplished with the
assistance of several volunteers, particularly Ill. George Walrath, 33° and
Ill. Phil Cox, 33°. Many thanks to them for their assistance.

If you have the time and can volunteer to make calls to the Brethren
to see how they are doing, and if our Scottish Rite can help, please
call the office so that a time may be set up for your assistance.

To all the new members, we have several areas that need help and you were
given a questionnaire to fill out. You will be contacted shortly to see where you
can assist.

Let us not forget to attend our Blue Lodge and make sure that they stay vibrant.
