A Symbol of
Personal Responsibility

The best known symbol of Freemasonry, the
nation’s oldest and largest charitable fraternity
is the Square and Compasses. They are
reminders of a Mason’s duty to live by the
highest moral standards, to practice brotherly
love, and affirm loyalty to his country. Masons
believe that the quality of a man’s life should
reflect his faith in God and his ethical ideals.

The Masonic fraternity offers men of good
character the opportunity to share their ideals
and aspirations with each other.

THE MASTER CRAFTSMAN PROGRAM

Greetings Brothers, John Lindell, Past Venerable Master of
the Lodge of Perfection, asked you in his February article,
“Do you hear Gary Calling?” Well, I am now making that
call to all of you. The Scottish Rite Master Craftsman study
course is something that all of our Scottish Rite Brothers
should experience. You really can’t beat the price. $35.00
buys you the Scottish Rite Ritual, Monitor and Guide. This
book contains over 900 pages of information about the
Scottish Rite and will serve you as a most valuable resource
for you in your ongoing journey in Scottish Rite. This
book, along with the Bridge to Light, serve as your textbooks
for this course. If you can’t remember where you’re Bridge to
Light book is? No problem. Our Secretary of the Bodies can
get you one. Here is how the Master Craftsman program
operates. You may purchase the Scottish Rite Ritual, Monitor
and Guide on line at www.scottishritestore.org or order by
phone at 866-445-9196 between 8:30a.m to 6p.m., M-F EST.
Your book will arrive with your first quiz and a letter from
the Grand Commander. Quiz #1 contains 20 multiple choice
questions covering “Some Masonic and Scottish Rite Basics”.

All of the quizzes in the course contain no more than 20
multiple choice questions. Each quiz that you receive will tell
you the pages you are to read in the SR.Ritual, Monitor and
Guide or in The Bridge to Light in order to
answer the questions.

EVERY QUIZ IN THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN BOOK.
You move through this program at YOUR OWN SPEED.
Once you have completed a quiz, you mail it back to the
Supreme Council where it is read and corrected. NO GRADES
ARE GIVEN. Your corrected quiz is then sent back to you
along with the next quiz in the program. The entire program
is made up of six quizzes. They are in order: “Some Masonic
and Scottish Rite Basics,” “The Lodge of Perfection”,
“Chapter of Rose Croix”, “Council of Kadosh”, “The
Consistory of Masters of the Royal Secret”,
‘Scottish Rite Honors”

Upon completion of the program, you are issued a framable
certificate of completion and a lapel pin. I have found this
program, and the Scottish Rite Ritual,, Monitor and Guide to
be the source of clarification and meaning to me that I have
looked for since I became a Scottish Rite Mason. I remember
walking away from my Reunion unclear about so much of
what I had experienced during my three day class. How about
you? This program has been so helpful to me and I am sure it
will also be for you. Don’t delay! Enroll today! As of this date,
Brothers William R. Freeze, Robert F. Gee, Jack A. Jacobs,
Gary C. Young and Jim Liggett, have completed the course
Congratulations to these Brothers.

GARY R. DARROW, Past Master of Kadosh
